2017 is the seventh year that the Dallas Yoga Community has been called to gather and share in the connection, community, and conscious change that is One Love!
One Love Dallas is a movement in the Dallas yoga community that is dedicated to bringing consistent support to underserved communities. By working collaboratively with non-profit groups, local and global, we draw awareness, raise funds, and bring lasting connection and support, aiming to create not only individual transformation but also lasting social change.
To inspire all yogis to expand their asana (physical) practices by reaching beyond a pose on a 2′ x 6′ mat and into underprivileged and under served communities throughout the world.
Yogis come together as individuals, from a variety of studios and traditions, join hands, hearts, and consciousness to create the strength and the prayer that comes from sangha, togetherness, to create a community that believes in activism and change.
We gather again this year to stand in solidarity to bring awareness and support to underserved children worldwide. By focusing our efforts on empowering our future generations, we can combat issues in underserved children such as human trafficking and the lack access to education and opportunities. By partnering locally with Hanuman Homies to help start a yoga program at Johnathan's Place, a sanctuary of services for kids in and out of the foster system, and globally with Women's Interlink to sponsor their Nabadisha Project, which supports 15 youth centers for street children, we will be able to create change for the next generation.
